OK..I just learned that AADSAS calculate all the grades no matter if you have repeated them or not....

So when a school says min GPA 3.0...does it mean AADSAS GPA or GPA from your transcripts????????????

I have a repeated course that if calculated will lower my GPA..I'm ssssO worried 🙁

its your AADSAS GPA. unless you went to different schools and transferred, and you showed much improvment at the new school, i can;t imagine d-schools going by your transcripts over AADSAS. afterall, AADSAS gets paid for a reason and that reason is to screw all of us over and make our GPAs lower than what it says on our transcripts. 👎

on the flipside, if you repeated that course and did well (D --> A), then D-schools will look favorably on that.

If they're not going to look at my transcripts how are they going to know I made an improvement?

that is a very good point. How are they going to know?
D=1 and A=4 if they add both of them together and not take the best out of the two then it's a 2.5gpa and that sucks

...... they receive a copy of your application which has everything you entered on it, including your course work and if it is a repeated course. Also, AADSAS calculates two sets of GPAs. One with quality points, meaning it includes the + & - grades. One w/o quality points, meaning no + & - are included, just the straight letter grade. Both sets have 4 GPAs reported, CUM, SCI, BCP, nonSCI. Most schools that have minimum GPAs are looking at your SCI & CUM GPAs. You need to find out if the schools you are applying to use quality points or not.

If a dental school is interested in you they will look at your official transcripts - adcoms are very much aware of how AADSAS calcultates gpa's and the discrepancies that often arise. 😉
