Help! I was convicted of a misdemeanor...

and I called the board the day after it happened to report it. The woman told me that I do not have to report it until my next license renewal in two years. I tried to apply for malpractice insurance and they asked me if I reported it to my board.. I look at the Laws and Regulation book and it said that any felony or misdemeanor conviction I have to report to the board within 30 days. Ahhhh!! So then I called again and another lady said no, you have to wait until the next renewal to inform them... I'm worried !

What do I do?

Get the person's name and document the time/date you called. I would also send an email to the board. If you are super paranoid, send a certified letter as well, but an email and a phone call should be sufficient.
