Hey everyone

I have a test in about in about a week and I am having problems understanding diene and the writing of resonance contributor. What are the rules of writing resonance contributor to get a resonance hybrid.

Here are some of the rules off the top of my head:

1. Only pi electrons and non-bonding electrons can move

2. You cannot add electrons onto a sp3 hybridized carbon

3. Do not violate any of the bonding rules (i.e. 10 electrons to an atom)
