pretty easy, if you ask me...at least at the top

1. Sinai-one of the top GI programs in the country. For GI, it is just below MGH and Hopkins and by far the best in NYC. Plus, they like their own.

2. Cornell-great program, great location, great housing
3. Yale-not great location, but good rep will help in GI
4. NYU
5. Tufts
6. Einstein-suprisingly, has a very good GI program (according to my PD who is in GI)
7. BU-bad part of Boston, but good clinical training
8. Brown
9. Jefferson
10. Bob Johnson
11. Stony Brook
12. Newark

best of luck

I almost forgot one of the most important points...

Not only is Sinai's GI rep very good, but Babyatsky is in GI. Fellowship is a very small world, which means he knows alot the people that you will want to know, and he is more than willing to make phone calls on behalf of his residents. (he also trained at MGH, was on their faculty for a couple of years, and served on their admissions committee...it never hurts to have an ally with friends at harvard.)

Kapadia, at Yale, is also in GI, is very perosnable, and is a strong advocate for his residents.

The smaller everything gets, the more political it becomes. It sucks, but what can ya do.

Thanks for your input!
