- Cumulative GPA: 3.54 (Very strong upward trend, junior year gpa is 3.9 and all were BCPM classes)
- Science GPA: 3.47
- MCAT Scores: N/A (COVID delays, realistic goal is a 510-512)
- Research – include any abstracts/posters/publications and how you were credited (eg. First author, senior author, etc): 150 hours in small neuro lab, on 1 abstract as third author. Would have more but can't be in lab because of COVID.
- Volunteering (clinical) – include hours/sites: 350 hours direct patient contact with elderly patients at local hospital. Received award from hospital for volunteering excellence. Been with this org for about 2 years. Again, hours would be higher, but covid.
- Physician shadowing – include hours/specialties: 15 hours with ENT, 22 hours with wound care specialist (LOR). Have time planned w plastic surgeon after COVID lets up.
- Non-clinical volunteering: about 100 misc hours with organization at school. 30+ hours with shopping angels getting groceries during pandemic for those who can't.
- Extracurricular activities: Supplemental instruction leader for 3 semesters in physiology (LOR), TA for anatomy for 2 semesters (LOR), dissected cadavers in human dissection course, tutored A/P for 1 semester, committee chair for new club at school with 100+ members focused on volunteering and fundraising with solid connections to medical school. Member of a couple other misc clubs.
- Employment history: 5500 hours at a non-clinical job in a managerial position as a part time worker to pay for college, hours since 2016. Paid as SI leader and tutor also.
- Immediate family members in medicine? (y/n): Mom was a nurse when growing up.
- Specialty of interest: Don't want to know yet (leaning surgery or something more procedural)
- Interest in rural health (y/n): no
