hey guys. i'm a second year second semester student and i'm struggling w/ path! usually, if i study for a subject, i would do well. if i didn't, i'd fail. but it seems like for path, no matter how hard i study, i still can't do well. the highest grade i've gotten was a 70%. and that was w/ hardcore studying.

i know its not straightforward like the other subjects... pharm, micro, etc. for these classes, i would just read the powerpoint slides a handful of times for 2-3 days in a row and i would get it. i'd just look at the heading for each slide and try to recall what the rest of the slide says. but clearly that doesn't work for path... so how should i study?? i haven't tried index cards yet but that didn't work for me before... the only time i tried it was vocabulary list for the sat's. i haven't tried review of path either.

i highly recommend Lange Flashcards: Pathology. flashcards seemed to always work for me and these cards are high yield (focus on the back of each card). this is all the info you need for Step I path. if you understand these cards, you'll be more than great. good luck!

BRS helps. It has many tables and 15-20 questions at the end of each chapter. It could be a bit much, but it'll help you study for class if used as a supplement.

I'll second the BRS. Also I use the Robbins q-book, it has good explanations.
