I've finally gotten around to submitting my ROL into the NRMP website, but I had a problem. After entering my Primary Rank Order List, I tried to assign Transitional Year programs to my Supplemental List. However, I couldn't find a way to edit my Supplemental List without creating a new list.

Am I missing something or will I have to start over and make an entirely NEW list every time I decide to move one of my TY programs around? At the rate that I've been changing my mind, I'll be on the letter Z way before the deadline.

Help!

You assign supplemental ROLs for each of your primary choices that offer or require a separate match for the intern year. In other words, you cannot, to my knowledge, have a separate ROL only for the first year slots and then a bunch of programs on a second ROL for your PGY-2+ training.

For example, if you're going into Derm, Rads or Path, for each program on your primary ROL, there will be a link offered for you to create a supplemental ROL for that program & that program only. Your supplemental ROLs only take effect once you match into the primary program, which is your Derm, Rads or Path program.

Coming from a different angle...what are trying to match into? Maybe I can give you more specific info once I know what you're trying to accomplish.

Bro, go to the main page of your ROL... i.e. the first page it takes you to after you enter your AAMC ID and password and subsequently click on My Rank Order List. Now see the drop down menu labeled "List"? It says Primary Rank Order List right? Now drop down on that list to the Supplemental List that you want to alter. Whalah! You can now alter any Supplemental ROL you've created.

Did you just get that e-mail from NRMP? I found the last paragraph interesting:

"Experience has shown that applicants making changes to their lists at the last minute, particularly in the last six hours before the deadline, inevitably regret those changes because they are based upon impulse, are not well thought out, and usually ill advised. REMEMBER, NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE TO RANK ORDER
LISTS AFTER 11:59 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME ON FEBRUARY 26, 2003."

Hope this helps...

😱

OMG. I could have sworn that drop-down menu wasn't there the last time I checked the site.

I kinda feel like an idiot now.

Thanks Cuts.

Oh, by the way...

I got that e-mail too, but disagree completely. All of my best decisions are not well thought out and made based on impulse. Just ask my ex-wife.
