help with school list, low GPA/high MCAT

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could give me your thoughts on my school list. I know my GPA is really low.

uGPA: ~ 3.25
sGPA: ~ 3.00
MCAT: 37R (13PS/11VR/13BS)

~ 100 hours shadowing 4 doctors (2 DO, 2 MD)

- 1 year of research
- member of sorority and EMS squad since freshman year, held various leadership positions in both for all 3 years
- member of two other clubs

~ 600 hours volunteering as an EMT-B

- I am an NJ resident and attend a top 10 school

Currently the following schools are on my list:

Applicants with your GPA and MCAT have a 61% chance of being accepted as per the aamc website chart. Not too shabby, really.

I'm curious about the thought behind applying to the MSU DO program, but not the MD program?

I think your list looks good, but could have a few more lower tier MD schools, including RUSH and Creighton.
