Hi! I'm reapplying this year after an unsuccessful 2018-2019 cycle and am looking for school list advice (I am verified and complete at a number of schools so far). I think a pretty big factor in my lack of success last cycle was my timing (LORs not submitted until the very end of August and September). I received 4 interviews during this cycle (including one at Stanford!), but all were scheduled after ~March and resulted in wait list offers (I contacted 2/4 and they commented that their class was already filled by the time my app was being considered :/)

State: MA

Demographics:
23M, ORM

MCAT: 518 (131/128/129/130)

Undergrad: Non-HYP Ivy

Undergrad cGPA/sGPA: 3.85/3.75 (sGPA and cGPA >3.9 during my last two years)

Undergraduate major: Neuroscience (Religion minor)

Year in School: Graduated in 2019

Research:

1)
1400 hrs at MGH orthopedics lab --> 2 national conference presentations (2nd and 3rd author) + 2 Pubs in medium impact journals (2nd and 3rd author) + strong LOR
2) 400 hrs at neurobiology lab (no pubs/abstracts)
3) 500 hrs at diagnostics lab in India --> First author on US provisional patent
4) (300 hrs) Collected data as part of an educational program I developed in India --> 1 abstract (US high impact journal) + 1 presentation (US national conference)

Non-Clinical Volunteering: 200 Hours (Nursing home - not sure if this counts as clinical)

Clinical Volunteering:
1) 300 hrs as volunteer EMT
2) 150 hrs as volunteer at children's hospital
3) 800 hrs developing and volunteering at a diabetes education and awareness program in Gujarat --> strong LOR
4) This Upcoming Year (projected ~1000 hrs): volunteer at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program - reflected in secondary essays, not primary application (postponed due to COVID)

Non-Clinical Employment (during school):
1) 300 hrs as an RA
2) 300 hrs as a Chemistry laboratory TA

Leadership/Extracurriculars:
1)
President of school's South Asian Student Organization (200 hrs)
2) Editor in Chief of school's Journal of Science (top undergraduate science journal in the country, 200 hrs)
3) Started nursing home volunteer program, recognized by school (200 hrs)
4) Alto saxophonist in esteemed school jazz orchestra - toured in Cuba and at performed at Lincoln Center (+4 years of training at New England Conservatory, 600 hrs)

Letters of Rec: Composite Letter (much stronger than last year's)

I've highlighted the major changes to my app since my previous cycle in green
