HELP!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Relax. Take a deep breath. The AMCAS program only allows a certain amount of characters to be submitted. Your essay is too damn long. Make it shorter. Find ways to cut out superfluous information, and condense what you have.

ya, but it is 5300 characters maximum...the essay, that is. only 5156 are going. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

I don't know what to tell you. Maybe they're counting the empty spaces too.

wth, it's still doing it, after I use MS notepad. ???? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

i know this is annoying, but have you tried just typing it into the application? maybe you're having troubles when you copy and paste... just a suggestion!

this happened with me also..
there are some codes in there that make it really long.
what worked for me is this..

i copied and pasted into a new word doc. saved it as a text file.
then opened the text file. copied and pasted it into note pad. and then copied and pasted it from note pad into amcas - and it worked!

try it!
