I submitted on 6/16 and the status of my application has changed from "active" to " verification". It says, "Your application is currently being verified. Allow at least fifteen working days for the verification process. Since many problems are not detectable until the verification process begins, you may still receive notification that your application needs to be corrected, or that additional transcripts have been determined to be required in order to process your application." Is this weird?? I am very nervous.

nope, totally normal. first you're active, then verified, then after you're verified they transmit your application to the schools, i think, although it's been a while since i applied. i think when they do the verification, they check to make sure you put your classes in correctly and stuff. it's all good and normal. don't worry. 🙂

I am somewhat relieved. But are you guys considering the fact that the status says, " the application is being verified and the verification will take atleast 15 days?" It is not "verified"; it is "being verified". Is this normal too? Just worried since I submitted my app on 6/16 and people's app has already been verified.
Thanks.

Relax dear! :meanie: If you start to stress now for no good reason you will loose it later in the process. These things are normal. Not hearing from anyone by christmas (considering you've already submitted AMCAS) now, that's something to cry about :scared: Until than, try to chill and best of luck :luck:

the time between submission and verification is variable. your's is just taking longer.

That's REALLY REALLY BAD!!! It means your application's got a problem with formatting and the system can't read it. You need to re-submit everything ASAP before there's a snag.

just kidding..... relax and let the secondaries come rolling in....

Thanks.

Mine had that status yestersday. As of 3:30pm today, it was finished and processed. Don't worry, your's will be done soon.

Mine is the same as the first thread here. I submitted on 6/15 and it says "Verification". I wasn't worried about that until I started reading sdn about a week ago.

SO mine still only says "active" and I submitted late 6/14 early 6/15. Hasn't changed to "verification" or anything. Any ideas???? 😱

just wait and stop acting like you've been drinking too much caffeine :scared: :scared: you'll be fine, it can take some time.

Active means you're all set. Your ap is waiting for some guy in Iowa to start to try to match up all your grades with your trancript. At this time it will display Verifying as the status. After this particular man has finished matching your transcript to your AMCAS, and is reasonably sure things are okay, your status becomes processed. Now then you just wait for the schools to send you secondaries.

well that's good. i just wish he would get going and at least change my status to 'verifying' or something so i knew there was SOME movement on my app.

Hey pinkertinkle, i LOVE your avatar, by the way. clownfish rock 👍

ok, coffee will be ok, let's stay away from the crack though...

But on a nice note...you are well on your way to making the perfect transition to medical school and beyond. Why do I have this picture of someone chain smoking Marlboros, shaking their computer while slurping quadruple esspresso's?
