Looking to go to med school after being out of school since 1997. Was a bio major. However past work experience has left me with no recollection of any chemistry or physics material. Been teaching A&P for past couple of years.
Don't have time in my schedule to take a formal class at local college. Been tackling some texts, but with a 4 month window until Jan exam seems to be a but too unfocused.
Any recommendations on study guides that will offer a focused prep for the MCAT?
There seem to be plenty to chose from...princeton review, gold standard exam krackers. Any that might offer a person in my situation a clearer path?

Thanks for your input.

The Princeton Review Hyperlearning set would be perfect. They walk you through everything you need to know and in as much detail as you need to know it. They are the books that come with the course but you can get them on ebay or SDN classifieds for a good price ($300).

Hope this helps,

Send me a PM if you are interested in the complete TPR Hyperlearning set. I think it is overall the best set, in terms of quality of content review and practice questions.

Berkeley review would be pretty good for PS, but hard to get, ExamKrackers is also good if you are looking for an overview of the concepts, and princeton has some solid practice

If you're looking for a class, check out whether TPR or Kaplan has the better teachers in your area. Also, TPR Hyperlearning offers the better books than Kaplan, but if Kaplan has great teachers, it could make up for that.

If you want a home schedule, you could check out mine.
