i've yet to see a med school pull this kind of $hit, until today...

-got my notification of AMCAS receipt from MSU. as it happens, MSU wants applicants to pay the 2ndary fee before a decision is made on whether or not to actually give them a 2ndary 😛

whoohooo! hopefully other med schools don't catch on to this idea. fu-ckin lame if u ask me 🙁

well, i guess it's one way to make a little more cash (maybe this just applies to out-of-staters... not sure 🙁

ugh 😛 😛 😛

That's awful. I think the government would never have to raise taxes again if they just taxed all the money we have sent to the medical schools and AMCAS. (I am not good at jokes, but I thought that was a funny thought.)

the U of Nebraska does the same thing.

Just wait till you're one of the ones who doesn't get the secondary... $70 to be on hold with MSU, my state school.

well, that tactic filters people that are just applying everywhere and probably keeps those that are actuallyl interested. That said, i got one and i'm out of state.

like so many other things in this process, there really is no good reason for anything that happens.
