Same stuff that drives everyone else. Wanting to make a difference.

I was looking for something more specific. I know we all want to make a difference, but there are lots of ways to make a difference. Why medicine?

i really wasn't trying to answer your question, i just wanted to point out that the reasons why one chooses medicine is not dependent on ethnicity

Are you trying to get us to write a school essay or personal statement for you? 😀

Wait, I'm not Latino, whoops!

Hey sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean or anything. I am Hispanic also and find that my background really motivated me to pursue medicine. My family and neighbors (close knit community of Hispanic countries) have helped me learn the importance having someone to rely on. I have made it my goal to follow this "tradition" and bring my knowledge and time to support others. etc etc

Hi JG198

I was in part inspired by doing clinicals for migrant farm worker families in underserved areas. This is also the type of area I wish to return to work in.
