I just took the AAMC 3R test today and scored a 28, up from my previous practice scores of 26 and 21. I am rather proud of myself, because I thought that exam was awfully rough. My GPA is fine, and I do a lot of activities. Could I get into med school, say U of Michigan, with a score of 28 and GPA around 3.8? Any suggestions on how to prepare for the MCAT in the last month?

holly smokes! I am in the same exact position as you. ive got a 3.8, but after taking the aamc 4 today, scored a 28. i hope we all can improve in a month, and frankly, i think we can. i just need to focus on the things that i got wrong. i sure thought the grading score was rough. i miss 16 questions and thats a 10 on BS. i know some schools dont even look at your app if you dont meet the min mcat requirements, hopefully someone can answer

Your chances of being accepted to U. of Michigan with a 28 are pretty slim. They are a great school and you will need to break a 30 to even be considered there. Their average MCAT is around a 33. Good luck.
