hey what happened to the dental off topic lounge?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

The off-topic dental forum has been moved & made a subforum of the all-student forum, where "off-topic" conversations will continue to be welcome. We hope the all-students forum will be a natural home for those threads, enabling us to keep the professional forums more focused on topics relating to professional admissions, education, & practice.

Perhaps provide a link from within our forum, so that it's easier to find?

I understand the move too. While there's reasoning to it, it causes more problems and would probably be counterproductive. More lost than gained.

What's so hard about posting in the general lounge anyways? It certainly hasn't stopped In Her Drawer from posting at all. :p

Yeah, but have you seen those Lounge kids? There's only about three of them that are actually responsive to me and my posts. :(

The Lounge kids don't like newbies - and a newbie is anyone with less than 10,000 posts

Hmmm, I wonder why there is an off-topic forum in the pre-med section...

An originaly good move by SDN and then...WHAM they had to change it.

At least they aren't having server crunch time like last year. It took FOREVER to log on and even look at one thread. Thanks SDN for upgrading.

There was an announcement posted earlier this morning at the top of all dental forums, which contains the link to the Off-topic dental forum.

There has also been a link added to the Dental Forums page.

yes, the anouncement was made, but will that link be permanently placed there? Finding the forum that's located far from our own forum's more a hassle and would partly ensure that the forum's ...less visited.

It would be cool to have a link to the Military Dentistry forum as well. :D

Hardly anybody finds it because it is so far down the page and not grouped with the other dental-related forums.
