having a panic attack about finals.... so just wondering what people thought about a 4.0 gpa and a 31R on the MCATs.
im taking neurobiology, microbiology, ecology and evolution, analytical chemistry and an upper level spanish history course taught in spanish.
i just got my first B, im afraid i might come out of this semester with 2 B's
right now i have three interviews......
do you guys think those B's will knock me out of getting in?

I am going to get a B or two this quarter also. Just focus on hold a 3.6 or higher.

A couple of Bs will make you seem more human.

I've seen several people say this, but I'm a little confused as to its meaning. Does this mean that a slighly less perfect GPA, ~3.9, which is still really high, would seem more favorable than a 4.0?

I've seen that written here on SDN a lot, but I don't know if it was said "tongue in cheek" or not. Perhaps it is just said to console those who just found out they are human, rather than perfect. Others say it shows you didn't just sit in a room studying for four years and do nothing else. Honestly, I can't imagine there's much difference in adcomm's consideration of a 4.0 vs a 3.9+ though.
