Ok, I have spoken w/ a bunch of people that interviewed back home (California) and they were telling me that most EM programs were looking pretty intensely at their hobbies (of course this is besides boards, letters of rec, grades, etc.). It was so rampant that one of my buddies found out that a lot of docs at one program had their personal keys on carabineers so he took up rock climbing classes before he interviewed over there! Yes he is a little obsessive compulsive and this is an extreme case. But you get the point. Sooooo what do you guys think? I know that extra curriculars are important; but at some programs it seems like the more X-games you do, the better your chances are of matching to them! Has anyone else run into the same thing?
Thanks,
FG
