Hey guys,

Just thought I'd leave this here, my favourite mnemonic for memorizing diatomic molecules (HOFBrINCl = hydrogen, oxygen, fluorine, bromine, iodine, nitrogen, chlorine). I love how it actually sounds like a clown's name lol :p . I still remember my friend from another section of chem in HS telling me about this mnemonic that her section was taught, and me thinking, this is so much easier to remember than the other ones! :p

Happy studying! :)

Also know that the only gaseous molecules at stp are H-O-N-Cl-F with Hg and Br the only liquids and the rest being solids. Noble gases of course are all gaseous

I'm going with Chad's on this one: Never Have Fear Of Ice CoLd BeeR. N-H-F-O-I-Cl-Br. But whatever works :)
