i just got a 40 on AAMC3R. It seemed A LOT EASIER than the Kaplan stuff from which I had previously been studying. has anyone found this practice test easier/harder than usual?

The AAMC tests are in general, easier than the Kaplan tests (especially Physical Sciences).

AAMC 3R has been known as the "easiest" AAMC test (out of 3R-8). But nevertheless, it's still decently accurate I'd say.

I remember I scored a 34 on 3R about 1.5 months before the August '05 MCAT. And on the actual MCAT I got 33.

A better predictor of what you'll actually get is your average on AAMC tests 3R-8.

AAMC 3R is the easiest. Don't be overconfident now. 7 and 8 are much more like the real thing.

Agree. You should take one of the more recent AAMC tests for a more accurate assessment, but wait a few days and enjoy your "high" for now. Nice job. 🙂

Well, keep studying, but just keep telling yourself that you're capable of a 40. Believing that you're capable of great things is a big help in the MCAT mind game.

I'll update this thread w) my score on the AAMC 6/8, which I'm taking in a couple of weeks. my PS may drop somewhat if it is true that the questions got harder in recent years, but I'm hoping that this will be counterbalanced by my having recently completed the third unit of Kaplan Physical Sciences (electrochem, acids and bases, fluids, etc.)-- I'd be one happy camper.

still with a 40 on 3R...i would guesstimate that you will get at least 35 on the more recent ones....good job! Can you write my mcat? j/k....

Well how does the VR on 4R compare to the real thing? 5R? 6R? What about the science sections?

I hope that its a good prediction for you, and i hope you do that well on the real test

I got a 21 on 3R before taking the test last august, and then i got a 29 on the real thing. So it really depends on how you move on from here. hope for the best on 4/22
