I received this e-mail this morning, and I thought everyone might get a laugh out of it. I sent a quesiton to AMCAS last week because there were some issues that caused me to believe my application wasn't certified when it was sent. I think there was a discussion on this board about applications not showing they were certified when sent. Well, I had that same problem and was worried that my application hadn't been submitted even though I had gotten the "Thank You" screen. Since sending that e-mail, I have received both phone and e-mail confirmation that my application was submitted. Here is the reply I received this morning in regards to my question a week ago. I'm not too worried, because I'm sure it's just a form letter. I may double check just in case. It made me laugh!
"Your application has not yet been successfully transmitted to AMCAS, but our programmers tell us that the problem you've reported is fixed. Please submit your application at your convenience. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact us again with specific information about your browser (type and version), your operating system (type and version), what you are doing (the keys you're hitting, the URL of the page you're on, etc.) when the problem arises, and the exact text of any error messages you receive from the system. It would also be very helpful if you could attach screen shots of the page before and the page on which the problem occurs. You may do this by clicking the "Print Screen" button at the top of your keyboard, opening Word, clicking "Paste," saving the pasted screen as a Word document (including your name and the section of the application you're working on in the filename), and attaching it to your e-mail message to us. Our programmers are working hard to resolve problems with the application, and will offer a solution as soon as they are able.
Please let us know if you have any additional concerns
