Hell, I was gonna "bump" my other post in a shameless attempt at getting attention 😀 but decided on this thread instead...

Any of you "veterans" interview at Hopkins, GW, or Georgetown? If yes, did you get any specific kind of feel for the programs? Bigler has already been helpful but it appears as if my neurotic soul can't sit still through rotations and needs to worry about the match.

Regards

The gates are coming down, the lights are flashing, yet no train passes-I AM OFFICIALLY BURNED OUT!

Hey GD!

I interviewed at Hopkins... thought it was a terrific program. The PD there ironically happened to mention that they "lose" a lot of people to Boston... All of my interviewers made mention of how Baltimore was not such a bad place to live. While I actually had no preconceived notions about Baltimore, the armed guards around the entire perimeter of the hospital and the constant "Oh its not as bad as they say" attitude, scared me about the city.

If I was not so committed to New England (and in particular MGH) from the get go, I probably would have ranked them at or near the top of my list.

Thanks Mindy,

I have done electives in Baltimore and sister let me just say that Baltimore is "in a class by itself..." If you want to see for yourself check out shock trauma there 🙂

Thanks for the info. Its right on top of my list based on location and reputation alone, but I have doubts about getting in having an IMG status. **Keeping fingers crossed**

Catch ya later
