I think that they are probably equivalent in terms of training, fellowship, teaching, etc. Where did you feel that you would be happier?

Yes, and I know that residents and graduate students buy houses in Baltimore and Baltimore county. While a resident in SF could maybe rent a spare corner in a tuna fish can in SF.
