What would you do with 7 days off if you're on a 7 day on/7 day off schedule?

I think I'd surf, go to the gym every day, and eat out at Olive garden every day.

Is 7 on and 7 off the only option for hospitalist? That is all I have heard so far?

no, that is not the only option...though it is a common/popular one.

for me, no two months are the same. sometimes, i work 3 days, then have a few days off, then a few nights, then time off...etc, etc. usually end up doing 14-15 twelve-hour shifts in one month (days+nights). it works out really well b/c i can get days off in a month whenever i want...its just 5 people in my group so we make our schedule upto a month and a half ahead of time.
