Hotel within walking distance of BU Dental

Hi,

If you are a current BU dental student, please help.

I have an interview there in March, and would like to stay at a cheap hotel within walking distance to BU. I want to pay as low as possible in order to get a clean bed and shower, and a door with a lock on it. 🙂

I want to get an idea of the area around the dental school at night, even though staying there one night doesn't give the whole picture.

Also, how is the area of BU Medical Center?

Rent prices? Safety? Transportation? Compared to other areas of Boston?

there is a best wester motel that could be in a walking distance. The med campus area is not that great and the motel is in an area that i don't expect to be safe.
You are better off living in the boston area "to be specific: Back Bay area". it's about 2 miles to the school (about $10 or less w. taxi). There is also a direct bus line that takes you from the back bay area to the med. campus. Bus number: CT-1

you would expect to pay around $80-200. Using the hotwire and priceline you could get a deal for $50 or 60$.
