Hotels near CS Center in Chicago .. Help

Could any please recomend some hotels closer to CS enter in Chicago. Don't want to spend too much money. I have to stay there from Sat night to Monday morning... Thanks!

I stayed at a Ramada Inn on North Cumberland Road. It was pretty much on the other side of the highway from the test center. I dont know how much of a walk it was since I drove. Address was 5165 North Cumberland Road.

The other hotel that is very very close is either the Marriot which is like in the same parking almost. A little down the road is a Springhill Suites? by Marriot.

None of the hotels will be cheap in the Ohare airport area. Check hotels.com (prices will be same as expedia.com). Cheapest might be a place like the extended stay but you will need a car if you stay there.

About 2/3 of the way down on this link is a list of nearby hotels. I stayed at the Marriot for around $150/night. It was nice, quiet, and has an awesome pool! Good luck and prepare for some awful acting performances.

I also stayed at the Ramada on Cumberland. If you call the hotel directly, you can get a USMLE discount price ($75). I originally phoned the general Ramada 1800 reservations #; they did not have the discount on their records, but they transferred me to the reservations person at the O'Hare Ramada Plaza, who was then able to find and apply the discount for me.

The hotel was very nice, and close to the testing center. It offers a free shuttle service to the testing center in the morning (just ask at the front desk).

Good luck! Maybe you'll get the patient/actor who thinks he's Napoleon Dynamite (I wish I was exaggerating).

Ramada on Cumberland is the way to go, can't beat the price of $75.00, no breakfast though. I stayed there last week. You have to ask for the discounted rate of $75.00.. tell them that you are here for medical exam.

The three closest hotels to the testing site (as listed at http://www.usmle.org/step2/Step2CS/Guides/ChicagoGuide.htm) are marked as having discounted rates for CS takers; does anybody happen to know what those discounted rates are, at each of the three? Or do I just have to give all three of them a call?

Specifically wondering about the Marriott since it looks like it should be in walking distance.

Hi! Will be taking CS on July 31st. Booked at the O'Hare Ramada Plaza. Give them a call and tell them you're an examinee. I'm paying $82 plus tax/night. I also asked how far they were from teh test center and the guy told me it's about a 5-minute walk. I didn't ask about the free shuttle since I didn't know about it, hopefully they have it for the afternoon session too!

Anyway, didn't look into the other hotels. I suggest giving them a call to ask. When are you taking your CS?

I stayed at the Marriot Hotel. The USMLE rate was 90/night. It was very easy to take the hotel shuttle from and to OHare and walk across to the testing center (it is in the parking lot of the Marriot). The rooms are nice and the pool was very nice to hang out after the test and before my flight back. Some of the other test-takers on my day wished they had stayed at the Marriot instead. I highly recommend it.
