Housing in Lubbock

Hey this is for all those familiar with Tech and Lubbock. I was looking into apartments there and want to know what the best places to live are. Please let me know your opinions on why this is a good place to live in terms of cost, proximity to Tech, amenities such as DSL hook up, covered parking, gated entry, security, service . . .etc Thanks alot!
