Hi,
I'm applying to MD schools this cycle. I graduated 4 years ago with a 3.1 (3.3 science). Is this still going to be weighed the same as people's GPA's who just graduated?
I can understand why, because schools need a cutoff for the many applicants they get. Its just that, since I graduated, I've gotten a MS (GPA 3.6), had a job in biotech, and am finishing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Cambridge University with 3 publications (two 1st authors) and another in preperation. I wouldn't say that my GPA accurately reflects my potential as a medstudent (although, at the time it definetly did).
Thanks for this.
