DO here. I certainly don't want to add to the any hysteria or cause anyone to worry, as I don't think even half of programs have sent out interviews yet. However, I am lucky to have received 11 invites so far. I planned on psych from the very beginning of medical school and everything about my app points to it. I applied to a lot of places, and I've seen two patterns so far. Programs either mass send out invites in one email to all their selected applicants for all dates, or they either slowly pick people out and offer restricted dates. I've noticed that the higher ranked places I've received interview invites from are doing more of the latter. BUT, I've also noticed that the very community-oriented places are sending out more secondaries. None of these rules, can unfortunately, be applied broadly as I've seen exceptions. Check out the reddit spreadsheet and you'll see plenty of places haven't even been recorded to have sent out even one invite. Most psych applicants I know have around 2 so far.
