Hey all,

I have about 8 spaces filled out for the post-secondary experience on AMCAS and all of them have something to do with medicine, school or work. I play soccer with about 10-20 people every monday and wednesday during a school-wide break at my college but it is not an official club. My question is: how can I put this down as an experience? What do I list as organization? How can other hobbies be listed as post-secondary experiences?

Thanks.

Something like

Title: Soccer club

then fill out hrs a week

and in descriptions - something like

"Organized unofficial soccer club. For the past four years we played games every afternoon. Allows coworkers to get to know each other better. Provided stress relief in a non competitive environment. "

Of course, it should be "smoother" and nicer sounding, but this is general format I used. You can also add other soccer or sport related activities to fill it out, like "using my expertise in soccer attained through playing blah blah, I organized club." or helped organize. They're not going to track anyone down and use police persuasion methods to get out precise truth. You want to somehow tie it up with the fact that you're the kind of person that knows how to get people together/leadership ability/team work/etc etc and hence would be a great doctor.
