I'm looking over some of the diuretics for pharm and realized that i've forgotton so much of the renal physio much (or should I say I didn't learn so much the first time around). Do we kneed to know all the transporters on the lumen/interstial sides (i.e. be able to recreate it)...or just know something as general as CAI block NaHCO reabsorption? so friggin annoying...

we went over renal physio today.

From what I can gather, its more important to understand the general concepts of whats occuring in every part of the nephron.

Certain transporters are important. Such as the symporters into the PCT, etc.

But it seems that a sound general understanding of renal phys is whats needed, plus formulas.

i would definatly know the transporters listed in first aid, but first aid renal phys doesn't seem like it would be sufficient if you never understood it in the first place.

I'd prob go through brs physio if you have time.

just of note : I haven't taken my exam yet, I take it in about 5 weeks 😱
