Medical How do I talk about regional ties in personal statement?

Hello SDN,

I know that this last minute, but I've been racking my brain on how I can add regional interest to my personal statement. Some places I am wanting to apply to I do have family in, but other places (like the east coast) I have NO family ties and I have never lived there. Is there a format or template on how I can show a genuine interest in moving there? Is it better to reach out to individual programs instead? Please help.

I really didn’t place regional interest in my personal statements at all. If I got interviews, then do your research on why you would want to go there.
