How do you approach passages like the EK 101 chrome tanning passage?

I've been getting 10s in EK 101 verbal but got destroyed by passage 2 in verbal test 13. It was incredibly detailed and the questions' answers all seemed to just point to the paragraph where the answer was found (meaning there weren't any main idea questions). It almost seemed like an SAT passage to me. How are we supposed to read these kinds of passages

I have problems with those kinds of questions too.
Got destroyed by some of TPRH psgs like that.

I usually underline some key words for each passage so that I can go back if I have to later on.

I liked EK101 verbal tests a lot. I went from getting 8's to getting an 11 on test 8. However, the last 2-3 tests on that book have ridiculous questions. Don't get discouraged
