How do you decline your spot? Do you have to email or call them?

Hi guys, I was wondering how to decline my spot at USC. I've read through the emails but there's no instructions on how to do so for USC.

Can I call them? If I have to do it through email, what do I need to include in the email? Does anyone have a sample letter?

Yeah you just send them an email. I said thank you for the consideration, the interview, and the acceptance. Told them I would be enrolling at another university and wished them the best.
