How do you guys take notes/study for Biology?

Studying for the DAT, I started making flash cards until I realized I wouldn't have time to review them so I stopped. However, I'm sure making them helped me recall the information. What I did the rest of the time was had my cliffs/russelldw/etc half screen and a word doc the other half, typing tid bits of info that I didn't know or thought I would forget.
