I've been taking ~ one practice test per week, and am curious about how the AAMC's 3-5R compare to the real thing. I seem to do a lot better on these than I do on EK's practice exam. (I'm averaging 36 on the AAMC's and around 30-31 on EK's.)

Finally, if anyone in NYC would like to get together to study, I can sure use the motivation 🙂

AAMC, to me, is a much better indicator of where you're at, compared to the real thing. I think EK was harder than the MCAT, so if you're 30+ there, great.

Get 6R and 7R to finalize those scores, and then go ace the motherf*cker.

Good luck.

I agree, EK's are harder than the real thing, I scored 4 points higher than my EK. AAMC 3R is way too easy.

i took 5R two weeks before the MCAT, and not only did it predict my score, but it even predicted the sub-section scores. not bad.

Gosh guys, I know aamc 3R is supposed to be so easy...I took it as a diagnostic a few weeks ago before I started my studying...I'm saving the rest of my full lengths for after I get through all my review...and I got a 27; 10 VR, 9 BS, 8 PS...Now I'm scared that's horrible since the test is so easy 😕

don't worry, just because that's the consensus here doesn't make it true. i thought that all the AAMC tests were similar in difficulty. i actually got my lowest scores on 3R and 4R, while i hammered 5R and 6R. once you're done reviewing, your fears will dissipate.

That made me worried too. Thanks for clearing that up.

ditto... exact breakdown for me on 5 and 6 but 7 was lower than my real thing.

Being the first test you took, that is a stellar score. You're on your way to a 30+. I got a 19 on 3R, don't worry.
