Hello,
I am in my 3rd year of PT school and will finish the academic portion of the curriculum Oct. 11. I have completed one outpatient orthopedic rotation and have 3 more clinical rotations to complete before graduation (May, 2014). I plan on being a travelling PT.

My question is how soon can I begin to contact staffing agencies about applying for jobs? Should I wait till I complete all of my rotations or once I pass the NPTE (plan on taking in April)?

depends on where you want to work. If it's a big city like chicago, plan to start putting feelers out in late march, early april

Mind if I ask if you go to UM? Just judging by your icon... if so, how's your experience been overall? Please feel free to PM me. UM is my first choice aside from Baylor so I'd love to connect with a current student!

Start applying while still in clinical rotations and before you take the NPTE. The contract companies love to get your info and contact you through email a lot...like...A LOT. Which is good though, they are ALWAYS looking for people.🙂
