Hi all!

I will be finishing my sophomore year this semester and I plan on taking the DAT in the fall after studying over the summer. I was just wondering when is the perfect time to apply to dental schools if I do well on my exam? People say that is great to apply early to get an interview for a seat in a school, but how early is EARLY.

Thanks

My application was out 4 days after AADSAS opened. It all worked out for me.

Unless you're looking to jump ship before senior year, wait until 2014 cycle, to matriculate fall 2015 directly following senior year. Many schools require at least 90 semester hours if not completion of your degree.

i too was wondering this because i was planning on taking a summer class that ended June 7th and really wanted it to count towards my gpa but don't want to be late on the application cycle.

applying between june-july period is considered early IMO

huh? how? it takes at least 2-3 weeks for AADSAS to verify everything before sending any out...

Application opens in May, I took the DAT early June and was all applied by July. 10+ interviews and 8 acceptances. Summer is best.

I submitted mine in July...I would have submitted earlier, but I was taking some awesome vacations to places that had no wifi. I had absolutely no problems.

i e-submitted 10 minutes after the portal opened up. srs.

I was done like 12 minutes after.
Teach me your ways.

i coded a bot that will sign into the portal, fill out all of the information fields, and submit the app. after a few trial runs i estimate it will be able to accomplish its job about 350 milliseconds after the portal goes live.

umad?

I actually did not even apply. I willed myself into dental school.
