How far away is your school from home? Do you guys prefer to stay close to home or far from home?

UG - 4 hrs away by car

med school/grad school - 10 hrs by car or 3.5 hrs by plane

Didn't feel like going too far for college. Didn't mind by the time I got to med school since I'd been living on my own for a few yrs prior.

Undergrad 10 minutes
Med school - all II so far are OOS and I am okay with that. Itching to live away from home for a few years alone before I settle down.

I moved to be with my girlfriend (now wife) a year before I got back into college. That was about 2 1/2 hrs from where I grew up.
This is home now all through undergrad and into med school.

2 hours. I was so excited to be close to home, but I haven't left the city since school started, so it's pretty irrelevant.
