I'd say most people feel pretty comfortable after their first ICU month.
As an intern once you learn how to manage vents, pressors, put in lines, and run codes, you'll feel a lot more comfortable in the hospital.

Started to feel more comfortable about 6 mos into intern year...this had included an ICU month. The prospect of being a resident, however, is exciting yet daunting.
