How hard is it to bring up your PS score????

I desperately need to bring up my PS score (it was a 6 ). I am using the Examkrackers physics book and 1001 questions. It is good. I will be hitting AAMC stuff soon. I am just wondering from other's experiences, how hard it is to bring up your PS score compared to BS and VR????

Because PS is generally not as well studied as BS by most people (in terms of their academic travels), the curve is generous. With that in mind, PS is the easiest score to improve of the three.

By getting good at thinking physics and general chemistry from a logical foundation, you should be able to bring that up to an 11. Two of the people I tutored this last session increased from 8-to-12 and from 7-to-10. It just took some effort on their part and a willingness to change their approach from review to analytical focus. It also helped that they took a review course with strong physical sciences too.

I also agree that PS is the easiest of the 3 (not counting WR) sections to improve. Once you get that "aha" moment, the PS section becomes really intuitive and simple.

I agree with all the above. I went from a 7 to an 11 in a year. All I really did was Princton Reviews big book thingy. When I would get a couple questions wrong on the same subject I would do the Examkrackers 1001 questions for that section.

Oh, and I listened the the Audio Osmosis Physical science CD's religiously everynight.

Went from 7 (aamc3 ) to 12 (april 2002 mcat) in about 10 weeks. I studied alot using EK physics, AO & 1001 books (like you are). I had a fear of forgetting formulas so the last 2 weeks I re-reviewd physics from the beginning, but just going the highlights. The 1001 book was indispensible for me.

Just keep drilling the science. PS is alot more straightforward than BS or VS. Become familar (NOT an expert) of the topics they like to test in PS, jsut so you are not surprised. But if you are using the aamc stuff then you will see the same topics come up over and over again.
