how hard would it really be at nymc without a car?

so here's my problem...
i am considering to go to nymc but my issue is that i won't have a car. i have always had a car in undergrad so i never had to rely on anybody for rides to the grocery store and now, i dont' know what it would be like to not have a car...and have to rely on people.. will that be a problem you think? who else on sdn in going to nymc without a car????... i just want to know so i won't feel so alone in this situation.
by the way, congrats to all the sdners who got in to med school, and to all those applying this year, good luck, and its a dreadful process but so much worth it when you get your first accetance letter!!!!

i've heard that it's pretty hard to get around w/o a car at nymc. but plenty of people will have cars. i will, so if you need a ride somewhere, just let me know...
