How are/have people been doing on the Kaplan topicals in general

PS seems crazy hard .. been getting ~75% right.. sometimes even under

Bio and O Chem seem easier so far.

Kaplan topicals? What's next? TPR sunscreen? EK bug repellent ointments?

I was wondering who all found EK1001 bio and 16 mini mcats by ek helpful?
Is it worth buying it?

That is because Kaplan's physics problems have many formula derivations that would most likely never appear in the MCAT. At least, if it ever does I would guess/mark and move on to other questions since every question is worth the same. It is great because it makes you sweat over passages so when you get to the real thing it seems like cake (relatively speaking, of course).

man its just so impractical and a blow to your pride...

kaplan...making pre-meds feel like crap since 19xx

So Kaplan prepares us well for PS then?

I took kaplan and got a 12 the first time...now thats people I'm strong in Gchem and i got mainly Gchem questions...if it was mostly physics, I don't know how I'd feel.

I think Kaplan does a nice job is you do ALL of their stuff too. I think I did maybe 50% because I was using examkrackers as well.

I am praying for a 50/50 split on the PS. I am strong in Gen chem as well, but not Physics.

Their tests are so calculation based I barely can finish in time. It does make the AAMC tests seem easier though. Therefore, I think I am goinf to work through as much of the PS as I can. BS, I probably will do the topics I am weakest in.

I am studying mostly from TPR and I have the Kaplan materials as well from a few years back.

i usually got 75% or so on the chem and physics and a little higher on bio. ochem was all over the place from what i remember. those were variable in difficulty. take the physical science ones. they are scary but so is the mcat.

All of the Kaplan physical science material (especially the physics stuff sucks) but I am doing them all anyway. I just try not to get disappointed or demoralized with the scores.

I just got owned on the Thermo Chem topical... 60% :scared: .. and 65% on the stoichiometry topical...

was scoring 75%s in general on those..

Please tell me the chem topicals are equally hard.

I took the mcats last august and relied more on EK than kaplan. Retrospectively, I should've done them all. So I'm taking them again and doing them! They are hard but thats ok, better suffer on these then real mcats.
