I have a 24AA, and 23TS but an 18 PAT. I have applied to schools, however I am now wondering if my chances for getting into school are good with such a low PAT. It seems like everyone I read about on SDN scores above a 20 on PAT, and they stress how important it is for dental school admission.
Will my PAT deter schools from accepting me? I listed a lot of activities for the manual dexterity portion of the AADSAS application, however I don't know if that will make up for it. I am considering retaking the DAT Exam because of this. Can you guys provide some feedback?
Info:
150 shadowing hours
800 hours job
400 hours volunteering
1 semester of research
GPA : 3.82 ov, 3.73 science
NJ , non URM
Top choices - Rutgers , UCONN, Temple, Maryland
