How is cGPA calculated?

I attend a 4 year university. However, I will be taking classes at a community college this summer. How is my cGPA calculated if I have credits from multiple institutions?

One of the courses that I will be taking at a community college is considered 5 credit hours there. However, at my home university it is considered 4 credit hours and will be accepted as such.

A=4, A-=3.7, B+= 3.3, B=3, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, C=2, C-=1.7, D+=1.3, D=1, D-=0.7 F=0
sum[(letter grade point)x(number of credit of the course)]/number of credit total

sum[(letter grade point)x(number of credit of the course)]/number of credit total
With the one caveat that if your university gives your grades in numerical grades (3.6, 2.5, etc.) AMCAS will use the numbers provided and not sub them with their own lettering system and reconverting back.

3.6=3.6="A-"
2.5=2.5="BC"

NOT

3.6="A-"=3.7
