I was wondering how my chances at medical would be by graduation. (I'm a 1st semester senior.)

I go to one of the "public ivies" in Pennsylvania. 2010-2014
Degree in Biological Health Sciences and Ethics. Minor in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies and Chemistry. Certificate degree in Religious Studies

White female
Graduated high school at 16
Recruited athlete and played varsity all 4 years.
Academic All-American-- all 4 years
First Team Athletic All-American 3 years.
Certified EMT
Athletic Leadership Association member
Shadowed 3 different doctors all summers since 12th grade
Involved in a genetic research lab run by the university
Volunteered most weekends at the hospital
Many volunteer projects through my church
Age at graduation-- 20
3.68 GPA at graduation (3.56 current)
39 MCAT

I'm most worried about my bad first semester freshman year. 2.9 GPA. Will that be really bad?

Schools I want to apply to
(Texas Resident)
1.Harvard
2. Johns Hopkins
3.UT Southwestern
4. Columbia
5. Penn State
6. UNT
7.University of Utah
8.Houston

Not Baylor?

What will your BCPM GPA be at graduation?

What was the reason for the poor freshman year grades?

How substantive was your research involvement? Any posters or pubs in off-campus venues?

What demonstrations of leadership will you list on your application?

Things look good, but I suggest adding more schools; you're definitely aiming high, and that's good, but throw in some insurance.

I suggest ALL schools in TX, PA, and Vanderbilt, Duke, BU, Tufts, Einstein, Loyola, Rush, Mt Sinai. Delete Utah, as public schools prefer the home team.
