I am very happy about my acceptance to the PCOM class of 2007.
I would like to know what the exam schedule is like..For example are there exams every week or every 3-4 weeks?? How much of a life can you have outside school??

PCOM's exam schedule is not bad...typically one exam every 2-4 weeks, depending on the material. 1st year, terms one and two seemed to be a bit more hectic than the time beyond that.

As far as having personal time, it all depends on you. Personally, i have ample time to sit on my arse, drink beer, play PS2, sleep in, go out, watch TV, hang out with my old lady, hang out with friends (who all seem to have the same amount of time as me), and did i mention time to drink beer. You just have to bust you arse when it comes to studying...be diligent, have tireless study habits, and everything else kind of falls into place. At least it did for me. Don't let this give you the impression that i blow off school...my grades are very good.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are people in my class that probably never see the outside world other than on their way to and from class. Other than that they're holed up somewhere studying relentlessly, being social recluses, and generally pissed off and unhappy with life.

PCOM's a great place! You'll love it here, you just have to make the best of everything and keep things fun. See ya next year.

Scott hit the nail right on the head. When it comes time to study for the exam it is time to work your butt off. Other than that you can have a pretty good life outside of the classroom.

And rightly so, its Med School, not jail. Have fun and concentrate on studying but never forget about trips to Dave and Busters or a night at home playing PS2 or watching movies.

Welcome to PCOM.
