I find myself having a lot of trouble with OChem and not much with GenChem. Are questions from both of these subjects mixed in that one section or are they somewhat organized in that the first few questions are for GenChem and the last few for OChem? In addition, approximately how many questions of the 48 (is it 48?) are based on OChem?

Thanks.

Hi
There's more Ochem Q than used to be. I saw about 10 ~ - most were at the end but other versions may have them different order. There's a good SDN post about Ochem breakdown & details - I'll see if I can find the link . Have you taken Ochem1 ?

Hmmm, I've taken organic 1 and actually find it a bit more interesting than inorganic chem. Also I find the methods taught in the Dr Collins packet to be different from how my teacher taught organic. We never had to memorize types of reactions or anything (aside from SN1 and SN2 rxns). My professor mainly taught us the curved arrow method.

Anyway, what thread are you referring to exactly sanode?

Is be interested in knowing what I should focus on in terms of OChem.

@OP hmm, good question. I think I've seen about 10-15 on avg but they weren't too bad. Some were rather simple, like HS simple, but, others needed organic 1 to answer :)
