I"m hoping to send out my Letters of rec this week or next directly to the schools because I had to wait for a letter from a dentist. my aadsas and secondaries are all in already at the schools and i've sent app fee checks already. do schools wait until they get your LOR's before they even look at your app, or do they look at your app and wait for it to complete? Boston already invited me for an interview, but thats in february... thanks

Because a prof of mine took his sweet time mailing my last LOR, I am in the same boat as you. My printouts were mailed w/o the last LOR.

After looking at some websites, it appears that most schools WILL NOT accept LORs directly, so that being said, I have decided to let things lie.

If BU has already extended an interview than I think you have answered you own question. I would assume that schools understand that the LORs are out of your hands for the most part and are cool about their tardiness.

Good Luck,

oh man they don't take LOR's directly? I'm actually using my undergrad's letter of rec forwarding service, they have collected all but the 1 letter i'm waiting for. Will the schools accept letters from them???

It really depends... I know this is killing you, so I would contact them, explain, and ask what they prefer.
