AADSAS will get rid of your entire application after the application cycle is over. If you wanted to use the same LOR, you will have to get a new one from that professor during the next application cycle.

Most applicants wait until the year of their application cycle before they go around asking professors for LORs. Generally you don't ask a professor just after you finish taking their class and hold onto them but I suppose you can do this. I would say 2 years is the max for how old a LOR can be before you should get a new one.

thanx for the info...although its disappointing that an entire semester of hardcore sucking up went to waste...oh well guess the cycle will start again next year

What if you graduated from undergrad a while ago, would you use a general letter of rec. from then? Would you go back to that professor from years ago and get another? Or would you only use letters from people you have had contact with in the last few years?

Usually people who have graduated a while back, go back to their professors and ask them for LORs. It's a bit harder for them because of the time that has passed.

Letters of Recs can still be reused if an applicant decided to reapply correct?
